Excess Baggage

Today the urban Indian is truly mobile and dose not think twice about moving from one country to another for short / long term assignments. There is always a question on short term assignments is how much to carry? If you are traveling for 3 to 6 months you normally end up being with more than two bags as the weather shall change during that period of time. Also the airlines charge a very high amount for excess baggage, plus you have to lug that goods from home to Airport and at the destination from Airport to home, some times you have to take a larger vehicle at destination.

In most case one moves first to a hotel apartment before they finally find a place to stay and should that be the case then you have to carry all the goods again.

Would it not be better if some one came home, packed your goods and shipped them to your final destination? All you will have to do is unpack the goods and are ready?

This is the reason that I have created an excess baggage matrix for all over the world from India and would really appreciate your comments and opinions on it.

Regards….

Moving Pets from India

I have always been asked this question, pets being part of the family have to be moved when people are relocating from one city to another or one country to another. It’s fairly simple when one is moving within the country and totally different when one is moving to another country.
There are various customs formalities that need to be kept in mind, like you cannot take a pet to Australia, even if you do you have to have the pet in quarantine for 6 months. People are confused with documentation requirement and vaccinations at destinations.
Its been observed that the best way to carry a pet is to book it with your own airline ticket, not only does the airlines provide you with a list of documents but the pet also flies with you and you can meet the pet in transit point. This is the most preferred way to move with a pet.
